What is Theology Learn?

Theology Learn is a Learning Management System (LMS) that provides an accessible but cost-effective platform for individuals, churches and institutions. The platform is used to post resources, provide courses for learning and media content. Theology Learn can be the hub for any digital content that a person wants to offer and accessible to people within Christianity.

Who is the governing body?

Theology Learn belongs to the company Techserve Holdings (Pty) Ltd. The company provides digital software for varies industries. There are only two directors of the company that ensure that Theology Learn is an ambassador for Christianity’s evangelicals.  

Why use Theology Learn?

Theology Learn provides a digital platform for Christianity. Because the expansion of Christianity is our primary objective, we aim to ensure a platform where the Truth of Christ prevails. All content stays the property of the creator. All media content that is uploaded are encrypted and cannot be edited or used elsewhere apart from through the site. We aim to provide a safe platform to help people to come to the truth. As Jesus said, the Spirit of truth will guide us into all the truth.  We are subjective to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We are open for conversation and partnership to ensure the Church of Christ adhere to its mandate. 

Purpose of Theology Learn.

Theology Learn was created so any Christian, church or institution can have the platform to provide content that is accessible to other people. The context of our time has created the need for people to access content that is true but also helpful. This platform aims to provide a place where a mother can find material to teach her children at home. The learner that is seeking courses within Christianity to advance his/her knowledge. 

It also caters for the church that needs a platform to upload content to offer Sunday school, bible studies and more and provide resources for the church. Theology Learn has the flexibility to offer courses and content publicly or privately. This means that a church can provide the content only for its members and the opportunity to share it with the public. 

Theology Learn also caters for the institution of Academics of our time. Courses can be offered formally or informally. Learners can submit assessments in courses or simply complete a course by working through the content. 

Theology Learn provides a hassle-free platform for learners and instructors to teach and learn freely. 

Statement of Faith.

Theology Learn provides a digital platform for Christianity to flourish and reach people in the marketplace. 

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ stated in Matthew 28:18 

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Our authority is the Lord Jesus as He has self-declared. We are obedient to Him as our Lord to go and make disciples. We need to do all this in our capacity to adhere to Him. We are striving to fulfil an avenue to “teach them to observe all that I commanded you.” Theology Learn does not accomplish this by ourselves but provides a platform and space for each Christian to obey their Lord. 

The Lord Jesus confirmed that He is with us until the end, and therefore we work diligently to adhere and trust in Him as we continue to follow Him and address our current context. 

Paul states in Ephesians 4:7 

“But to each one of us, grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”

The team of Theology Learn acknowledge this from the Apostle. Individuals differ within Christianity. Each one of us has received grace to fulfil a particular calling. In our current context, we are convinced we need to achieve this calling. This is not out of ourselves, but because we receive grace from Christ. As Christ is our authority, our Lord, but also our sustainer and provider, we have all the grace we need to continue to obey and to fulfil His commandments. 

It is important to note that Theology Learn is an interdenominational platform that is subordinate to Jesus Christ, to serve the global church.

Paul continues in Ephesians 4:11 

“And he gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

This is a long sentence and does not need further explanation. Theology Learn stands in this gap to provide how the church can fulfil this statement. All we ask is that you take up this opportunity, obey our Lord, and help people measure up to this verse by the Apostle Paul. 

We acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and authority and that, God has given us His Word. We are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit and thereby believe in the Triune God. 

We are evangelical, which means that all people must come to the knowledge of Christ and becomes a mature Christian. We are evangelical because people must be pardoned, and received into God’s favour, into such a state that, if we continue therein, we shall be finally saved.

People must come to the assurance of salvation. This is primary, but we also acknowledge that people must become mature in Christ as the Apostle Paul stated. This leads to the point that we provide a platform for a more holistic view. This means that we allow courses and content that help people in other areas as well. Counselling, for instance, has become an essential part of our time, trauma counselling, marriage counselling, etc. The list can continue; the emphasis is that Theology Lean does understand the importance that people must come to know Christ but that it entails more. Christ’s atonement reaches all aspects of life, and we allow any content that helps people come to the knowledge of Christ. 

What does it cost?

Theology Learn is created for Christianity; therefore, the aim is to keep costs as low as possible. This is a digital platform, and therefore there is an initial cost to keep the platform functioning. The model is that through the collaboration of partners, it becomes possible to keep the platform running. As each partner provides a portion, it accumulates to the total cost. As the numbers grow and the traffic, the incoming fees scale with the overheads and the platform can provide the same service on a larger scale. 

There are different plans that an instructor can choose from. The plans provide other options and need. The difference in cost is mainly the functionality of some of the options and storage space. Conclusion

Theology Learn provides a platform for the church to fulfil her mandate to go and make disciples. We call all Christians to use this avenue to function according to their gift so the church can impact the world.
