Banking Details
Why do I need to enter my banking details?
The banking details are required for the payout process. This will be the bank where the funds will be paid into once you request a payout. The banking details are not verified so make sure it is correct.
This is only applicable for Partners that are offering courses for a fee.
Monthly subscription.
The monthly subscription is managed via the Payfast process that was completed at the enrollment as a partner. The entering of the banking details will not alter the subscription.

Registration
How to register an account.
Follow the link to theologylearn.org. The at the right top, select the person, select register.
Complete all the relevant details and at the bottom select register.
This will ensure that you will have access to all the courses as a student.
How to register a partner account.
A Partner account will allow you to view and partake in courses and upload your own courses.
Follow the registration process as above. Once you have registered an account and are logged in your account, select Become a Partner at the bottom of the home page under Links.
There are two plans that you may choose from. The free plan is the default plan for a new user. If you wish to change to the paid subscription then select the Theology VIP plan.
Enter your banking details at the bottom and then Enroll as a Partner.
The page will follow to the Payfast platform where you may complete the subscription option. Once you have completed the process, your plan is changed to the paid plan with all the full benefits. You may, at any time, change back to the free plan.
The page explains the difference between the free and the paid plan.

Settings
Account Settings.
Once you are logged in to your account. Select the person on the right-hand top and select Account settings.
User Info
This is covered in Registration of an account.
Banking Details.
This is covered under banking details.
My Channel.
Theology Learn’s home page lands on the list of channels. The home page does not list courses but rather the channel of all the partners.
My Channel is where you manage what is illustrated on the space you obtain in the home screen.
Your channel URL. This is the dedicated URL for your channel. Once you use the URL the link will take you to your personal channel within Theology Learn and will skip the General Home page. You may use this URL as a link form your website or another platform.
Make your channel private.
This will allow your channel to not be publicly available. Your channel will not be listed among the other channels on the Theology Learn Home page and a person that follows your channel will not be able to view the home page of Theology Learn.
Channel Title
Create your own unique channel name.
Description
This is the description that will be visible on the home screen to describe your channel.
Bio
This box allows a more descriptive of the channel. This is viewable once a person has followed your channel.
Cover Image
You can upload a cover image.
Embed URL
You can also upload a URL if the image is placed on a server.
Embed Height
The recommended default is 500px

Subscription
Subscription
Once you are logged in to your account. Select the person on the right-hand top and select Subscriptions.
The page gives an overview of the current subscription.
Edit subscription
Click on the green edit box before User
The next page allows for changing the current plan. Simply select the plan.
The last box gives an indication as to which plan you are on currently.
To change the plan select the plan you want and then select Enroll as a partner. If you are moving to the Theology VIP account the system will take you to the Payfast payment method. Please follow the instructions and complete the process. Once the process is done the plan will be changed.
If you are changing to the free plan then select the free plan and enrol as a partner. The process will then be completed and no payment will be charged.
Banking Details.
You may change the banking details at any time.

Creating a New Course
How to create a new course.
Make sure you are logged in your account.
At the right top select the person and log in.
Complete the email address and the password.
Once you are logged in then on the left-hand side of the screen select the circle with the triangle. On the pop-out select courses.
Next to the search bar select the circle with the plus.
Course Setup
Requirements to save a course
The following boxes are the minimum requirements to save a course:
Course type; Course Category; Title; Short Description; Course Fee; Course Duration.
Course type
There are two types of courses, On-Demand and Virtual Instructor Led.
Virtual instructor Led courses are for those that want to create a once-off course where content can be provided and a virtual lecture can be scheduled. This is not for multiple presentations but only a single event.
On-Demand courses are not led by a virtual class but are self paged. Virtual events can be created differently and also multiple times with On-Demand courses.
Course Category
There are categories for courses to help the student search under relevant categories. If there is no applicable category please send the admin an email with a request.
Course Prerequisite
You have the option to list prerequisite for your courses.
Related Courses
You may indicate what other courses are related to the new course.
Checkboxes
Has Assessment/Exam
If this boxed is check the assessment option will open at the bottom of the page. This assessment is when you want to create a single assessment at the end of the course. This is not for multiple assessments or even for assessments throughout the course but only for a final assessment at the end of the course.
You may enter the pass percentage for the assessment.
How many time the student may retry to meet the pass percentage
You may then indicate if the assessment must be weighted and also what percentage of the final assessment must be weighted.
As noted in the page this is only applicable for multiple choice questions for now.
There are 4 options for the final assessment.
Multiple choice, Text, Iframe, Information.
If there is no final assessment then leave the box unchecked.
If you want assessments within the course, this is covered under Curriculum design.
Enable playback
Pre-Payment Notification
Disable Certificate
The system automatically sends a certificate of completion to the student once a course is completed. If this box is checked the student will not receive any certificate.
Custom Enrollment Form
This allows for alternative questions before a student can enrol in a course.
Enable course expiry
An expiration time can be included as to how long will you allow a student to complete a course.
Partner hold after course completion
You have the option to place a hold on the completion of a course to review assessments.
Paid for (Only on Theology VIP)
The option to offer the courses for free or at a cost.
The free plan requires that all courses must be sold at a minimum of R50 where 15% will be charged for admin fee and the rest will be available for the partner to request as a payout.
Payout split (Only on Theology VIP)
There is an option to split the payout with another partner.
Private Course (Only on Theology VIP)
The course can be offered as a private course. A dedicated URL is provided and an access code. The course will not be publicly available but the URL and Access code can be shared with students to access the course privately.
Course Info
Title
The Title of the Course or content.
Short Description
This is to list a short description of the course.
Course description.
This allows for a more elaborate description and even more options as the textbox allows.
What will the course offer?
This box is to indicate what will be offered in the course.
The course description and then what will the course offer boxes be left blank as well.
Course Fee
The amount that will be charged for the course. There is a minimum of R50 per course. On the Theology VIP plan courses may be offered at no cost.
Course Duration
This indicates the Duration of the Course. The Hours can be edited.
Upload Cover Image
An image can be uploaded.
Introduction Video
An Introduction video can also be uploaded. The System requires at least one save before the video can be added.
Objectives
The Objectives of the Course
Select the plus and add as many objectives for the course as required.
Requirements
The requirements to partake in the course.
Select the plus sign and add as many requirements as needed.
Accreditation
This allows entering data if this is applicable.
Select the plus sign and complete the boxes.
Select Save changes and the profile of the course will be created and saved.
Continue to create a course.
At the top box (Course Setup) then option Manage Curriculum in blue will be available. This is to add the curriculum.
A Course will then have two sections. The one is the profile page where all the content related to the course can be edited or added. Then the second part is the curriculum.

How to add an embed video
How to add an embed videofor Youtube in the embed video option that is available under "manage curriculum".
- Open the youtube video that you want to add. Under the video you will find the share button.
- Click on the share button and then select the top left option embed (the circle with the two < >). The embed code will open but you only need to copy the url. Here is an example.

This code can be used if you embed the video in a website or document. What you need to do is only copy the highligted text (green) as below.

This text you copy into the box "external embed URL" and save. The default is 100% of the page (The suggestion is to keep the setting) and 720px which is standard for most videos. You can edit these setttings.
Then save the video and the embedded video should appear on the right-handside.

Manage Curriculum
How to manage the curriculum.
You must be logged in to your account, select Courses and then the course you already created the profile. Then select Manage Curriculum.
Select the round plus sign next to the search bar.
Category.
The platform functions in such a manner that the category is mainly a heading that can be repeated. If you have several content under on heading then you may repeat the category and all the content under the same category will be listed together for the student. It is as the name states the categorization of content.
Title
The name that will be used under each category, Lesson, Session, etc.
Content-type.
There are several options to add content.
The default is the assessment. This assessment allows for multiple assessments throughout the course.
Select Assessment.
The at the bottom enter the Pass percentage, the retry limit. The weighted scoring and how much must be included in the final score. Then there is four option again to create an assessment. At the moment it is only the multiple-choice questions that can carry grading.
Select Document
Under Content Type, you can select Document. This will allow to search for a PDF document and upload the document.
Select Image
You may select an image and upload it.
Select Text
The textbox has several options to use. This is the most comprehensive option to add content.
Upload
This option also allows you to use the textbox to your advantage. The Upload option allows the student to submit a document to the lecturer.
Select Video.
This option allows you to upload a video unto the server where it is also encrypted for protection. If you wish to use a URL link from another website then rather select the Text and create a description with a link to the website.
Display Order
This is the numbering sequence you wish to the content must follow. You may change the numbering, it may also skip numbers, or you can leave it and the system will number automatically as you created the content.
Save
There are two options. If a large number of content is loaded you can select Save and New. The system will then save and clear the boxes for the new content. If it is a single upload you may then save changes and then back to the list.
The list will indicate the order of content.
There are two other options next to the add content sign. You may download the content as a zip file. The other option is that you can upload a saved zip file. This helps with creating a duplicate course.
Once you are done with curriculum development you may select the name of the course under the heading Course Curriculum. The page will direct to the course profile.
Submit for approval.
To make this course publicly available you must submit it for approval. Follow the process, once you have submitted the course, the admin will review the content and approve if appropriate. Once this is done the course will be public or private.
All the courses either in the process or those that are approved will be listed under Courses.

Management
Course Management
Select the course management button the circle with the triangle at the left of the screen.
Gradebook
This allows you to enter the percentages equal to the symbols.
Right of the search bar selects the plus sign.
Give a description of the grading scale you want to include.
Then the last box selects the plus sign under gradings and complete the boxes.
This grading scale will be used in collaboration with the assessments.
Courses
This will give the list of courses and also the option to create new courses by selecting the plus next to the search bar.
To review or edit a current course, select the actions bar.
To edit the course select edit. This will follow the profile page of the course.
Manage Curriculum.
This will follow directions to the Curriculum as it was created.
View Enrollments
This gives the list of students that are currently enrolled in the course.
Remove
This option will delete the course completion without any retrieval.
Payments
This page gives an overview of the payments that took place on the account. This is the page where you can request for a payout of the accumulated fees.
The page keeps a record of the history on the account.
Subscriptions.
This will allow you to change subscriptions. Please see the page Account Subscriptions.
